Jagdgeschwader 27 Afrika was a fighter wing of the Luftwaffe during World War II. It served in both Europe and over the Balkans, but is most famous for its role in supporting the Deutsche Afrika Korps (DAK) in North Africa. It was initially formed in 1939 and served until the end of the war. The wing solely operated the Messerschmitt Bf 109 in all of its combat operations throughout the war.
