The Nakajima L2D was a license-built version of the American DC-3 transport plane that served with Japan during World War II.

Description[]

The L2D was fitted with two Mitsubishi Kinsei 43 engines that were capable of propelling it at speeds of up to 353 kilometers per hour. With an operational range of about 3,220 kilometers, the L2D was arguably one of the best transport aircraft that Japan had at its disposal. Furthermore, the L2D was oftentimes troublesome to engage because of its likeness to the standard American transport, the C-47 Skytrain, to which it was identical.[1]

The total weight of the L2D was about 7,125 kilograms empty while its total length was 19.7 meters.
