The New Mexico-class of battleships were a class of three battleships produced by the United States Navy during its involvement in World War I. Never seeing any combat in that conflict, the three ships started their career with peacetime patrols and Neutrality Patrols during World War II. Later in the war, the three ships assisted in the Aleutian Islands, Gilbert Islands, and Philippines amphibious campaigns.
