The Type 99 AP grenade was an anti-personnel grenade that was used by Japan during the Second World War. It was basically an improved Type 97 grenade, which could also be fired from a Type 100 rifle grenade launcher attached to a Type 99 rifle. It is not to be confused with the Type 99 AT grenade.
